NDAA & TAA COMPLIANT
Effective August 13, 2019, the USA Government has put into law the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This Senate Bill S4049-116th Congress was created to counter cyber security threats both foreign and domestic, involving security cameras and certain telecom products. Section 889 states that no camera products shall contain components manufactured by several specific vendors with operating headquarters and direct ties to the Mainland Chinese Government. It also includes their OEM, ODM, and JDM-partnered companies. Furthermore, the Trade Agreements Act (TAA), requires manufacturers of cameras, NVR sub-systems, and finished goods products to be manufactured in one of the TAA approved countries. Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan are the only countries in Asia that are approved.

Registration in Sam.gov is a federal requirement in order to be able to sell products to the USA Federal Government. Included with the online registration is a Federal Capability Statement which defines what categories of products a company’s core competencies and skill sets are.
